Salsa Latina - Albany

My family and I decided to eat here because it was the only place in the area without a long line. I was worried we might be disappointed due to the reviews and the number of diners, but I was pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. I believe it really depends on what you order. The quesadilla was absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to order it again next time!

The Mexican food here is excellent. I tried the carnitas tacos, and they were packed with amazing flavor and had just the perfect amount of crispiness in the meat. My wife also loved her fajitas. Everything we ordered was very flavorful and delicious. I will definitely be returning!

The rest of the meal was acceptable, but my dining companion ordered iced tea that tasted awful, almost like it had mold in it. I had a soft drink which was fine, but I was never offered a refill. The chips and salsa were also late to arrive, and the portion was small; we were never offered more chips. Our waitress was friendly at first, but she left midway through our meal, and no one else took over her responsibilities. We ended up waiting 20 minutes for our check, only to be informed that our credit card payment couldn't be processed until someone called the off-shift waitress for a code. After another 10 minutes, we finally managed to settle our bill. While my first visit was fantastic, this one fell short of expectations. I hope this was just a one-time issue and not a reflection of the restaurant's usual standard.

The frozen Margaritas were excellent and $8.00. The food is nicely spiced and served hot. My only negative was the steak fajita as the meat was on the tough side. Stay with the chicken. Overall a nice place, beautiful Mexican art inside, including thetabletops. Friendly staff. Our waiter was Jose. Thanks!
