The Hideaway Steakhouse - Alamosa

The service was extremely disappointing! We arrived, placed our orders, and somehow three tables that came in after us received their meals before we did. While our kids got their meals, my husband and I waited around 30 minutes for ours, ultimately having to take our food to go. Our waitress didn’t check back to refill our drinks. She even remarked how difficult it must be to take three kids out for dinner, suggesting that was why we had to leave early. We usually don't have issues with our kids at dinner since we typically receive our meals simultaneously. When we finally ate in the car, we discovered that the steak was quite good, which is unfortunate since the service was so poor that we won't be returning. To make matters worse, the waitress hovered over me while I was filling in the tip on the receipt, making sure to highlight what a 20% tip would be. There was no chance she would receive that. My husband and I usually leave a generous tip when dining out. Avoid this place if you want to skip a three-hour ordeal!
