Bidrage med feedbackI came across this food truck in San Lorenzo. It smelled sooo good and looked delicious on the rotisserie rack. I decided to try it and OMG was it awful! I had the pork loin, potatoes and broccoli. The meat was so dry and hard, I couldn't even chew through it. The potatoes had a rotten taste to them with hardly any seasoning. The broccoli was the only edible item but also lacked flavor. I tried to cut up the meat and simmer in sauce and they didn't help. Trashed the whole meal and still had to order a pizza.
They are at the Walnut Creek Farmer's Market this year, and I've tried their food a couple of times. The Rotisserie chicken with grilled Potatoes and Brussel's Sprouts was alright, but I'd completely skip the wraps. The Buffalo Chicken wrap which is simply loaded with a lot of salt and hot sauce is particularly bad. Like many say, they can't seem to get the flavors right, yet.
I can't speak for the other dishes, but I tried this particular package and was quite satisfied. The buffalo sauce with blue cheese was delicious, and the celery and carrots were nice and crisp. Overall, the flavors were well balanced. However, it was served cold, and I think it would be better if it were heated up.
I decided to order the larger size, which surprised me with its gigantic portion! It had to be one of the best deals in the Bay Area. My son and I enjoyed a generous amount, but there was still so much left that I took the leftovers home to put in the refrigerator. The next day, we reheated them in our air fryer for lunch, and they tasted delicious. The only downside was that they weren't quite as flavorful as the roasted potatoes I've had in Peru or France when cooked alongside rotisserie chicken. Even though they were seasoned with rosemary, they definitely needed more spice and salt. Luckily, I had brought a small packet of salt with me that helped improve the flavor. The following day, I served them with a dipping sauce, which made them even better. Overall, it's a fantastic side dish, and while I would definitely get them again, I'd prefer to take them home rather than eat them on the spot. That way, I can add more spices and dipping sauce to suit my taste. Plus, there’s not much seating available at the farmer's market in downtown Walnut Creek to enjoy your meal comfortably.
The experience wasn't great; the food lacked flavor. The chicken wrap tasted more like an odd chicken salad overloaded with cucumbers and barely any aioli, all wrapped in an oversized wheat tortilla — talk about dry! This food truck, which popped up near the Tesla factory in Fremont, seems to have limited edible options. The potato skins I tried were greasy and soggy, accompanied by a peculiar sauce choice (Korean BBQ or spicy sauce). I felt like I needed to order toilet paper to go with everything they served.
