La Val's Pizza - Alameda

I love this hidden gem on Bay Farm Island. I have tried 3 different pizzas here so far. The last two times I built my own pizza. This time I tried the Ultimate Garlic Chicken!!! It was DELICIOUS!!! The crust is thin and just right, with a slight crunch at the end. The white sauce is nice and creamy and not to much. The veggies are fresh and the chicken is cooked just right. The tomatoes on top were fresh. I never care for tomatoes but I cleared them with this pizza!!

This restaurant came recommended by more then one local and it was welcomed because the pizza is good. Had a large BBQ Chicken pizza. You could do beef instead. The ingredients, as seen in the picture, fulfills the topping to crust ratio to its absolute fullest. Sure sign this restaurant ain't afraid to let you get the flavor with every bite. You'll be picking the toppings of the plate as the fall off while eating. Unlike the chain pizzas you get where the toppings remind you of flying over the Texas oil fields...you see the wells well spaced apart. Not on this pizza. The beer we had is the Great White IPA; a white lager. I recommend it also. Well I look forward to my next trip here so I can try the rest of the menu. To the restaurant I say great job, please keep em pies coming like that.

After a long day at work, all I wanted was some comfort food. I've been coming to La Vals for 18 years, and honestly, today's pizza was the best. I was tired and all I wanted was a delicious pizza and a cold beer...... and they delivered big time. Thank you.

Very very pleased. Cute place and excellent food. The spaghetti was as you would expect but the sauce was special. Super chunky and lots of flavor. The raviolis were very very good as well. The star of the night was the pizza though. Not greasy, and toppings were perfectly cooked. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is fun as well. There’s a downstairs that’s quiet and quaint and upstairs with a big TV and stuff. I was by myself but I could see my kid and wife loving this place. Super good.

I’m glad to say after all these years their pizza is still amazing. My friends and I in highschool used to always go to La Vals if we wanted a pizza and today after a long while I was in the area and just wanted a slice of nostalgia. Ingredients, quality, service and cleanliness of the parlor is all great.
