Bidrage med feedbackWhile I enjoy the smell of roasted coffee beans, I usually only consume caffeine in small amounts found in good quality dark chocolate, as recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil. Julie's offers a variety of hot drinks, including coffee, espresso, tea lattes, and hot chocolate, as well as iced drinks like iced tea and iced coffee. They also have unique specialty drinks such as ginger lemon brew, kombucha, and lavender lemonade. In addition to beverages, Julie's also serves food with a menu perfect for brunch. They use organic, locally grown ingredients and offer many vegan and gluten-free options. I tried the Vitality Latte with oat milk and no honey, topped with cinnamon, as well as an organic vegan Mexican chocolate cookie. Both were delicious and I could feel the rejuvenating effects of the drink. The atmosphere at Julie's is peaceful and bucolic, making it a great place to bring your laptop to work remotely or study. However, please note that on weekends from 8am to 2pm, laptops and WiFi are not permitted, as the cafe tea garden is meant to be cellphone-free. This unplugged time is a refreshing break from the modern world and helps create a focused energy in the space. Overall, I highly recommend Julie's Coffee Tea Garden for a unique and relaxing coffee shop experience. I look forward to trying more of their menu offerings in the future. It's important to find a balance between technology and unplugged time, and Julie's provides a perfect opportunity to do so.
We hosted a party at this restaurant and the staff was very accommodating in preparing an all vegan menu. Everyone loved the food, including the non-vegans! I would give it five stars if I could, even though it's not exclusively a vegan spot. I returned for lunch recently and was pleased to find 2-3 vegan options and 2-3 vegan pastries available.
I visited this coffee shop twice while staying in Alameda. I enjoyed a delicious oat milk latte and was pleasantly surprised to see several vegan bakery options. I tried a slice of the scrumptious carrot walnut cake and was very pleased. The staff were friendly and attentive.
I love the green ambiance inside and outside the shop. Though there aren’t that many vegan options, they are each delicious and clearly marked on the menu. My favourite things to order are the sweet potato hummus and bread along with a lavender lemonade. The chia pudding is also the best, due to the seasonal fruits. Sometimes I even take home a little plant from the shop! Updated from previous review on 2021-07-26
I love the atmosphere and the back garden. I wish they had more vegan food options. We have such limited vegan options in Alameda, would love a local place I could go for breakfast or lunch
