We ate every single dinner here for our week and half stay in Luxor! We both enjoyed the chicken shawarma the best! Ahmed is an absolute delight and one of the nicest people we have ever met. When we first arrived to Luxor I was quite sick and couldn't leave my bed to go eat. My partner went to Sunflower for dinner and asked if he could get some food to go for me after his meal. They didn't have any to go containers but Ahmed (being the rockstar he is) let my partner bring all the food in its bowls on a serving tray back to the hotel so I could have a good meal. : Ahmed even arranged a taxi for a day for us so we could go visit Hatshepsut, Habu and other sites. It has a great view of the nile and is a perfect place to unwind. We miss you and your food already Ahmed! Thank you for being the best!!! We'll be back some day! Meg and Eric

Great place for a meal,,a good buzzin atmosphere, owner and staff are friendly, helpful,, no matter what you need to eat or drink they will organise for you,, if you in luxor I highly recommend this place,,

Great food, great vegetarian menu.........was a warm welcome from owner and great food just kept coming .....vegetarian moussaka was so good and all the side dishes were so tasty.....no hesitation in recommending this place and great views over the east bank............

Sunflower Restaurant Luxor, Egypt. There couldn 't be a better way to end our time in Luxor than at our favorite restaurant 'Sunflower ', the owner Ahmed opened his home to us to share this special moment. We overlook the Nile River on his restaurant rooftop terrace and enjoy a special meal prepared by his wife and mother. Camel was DELICIOUS, the sauce was one of the best tastes I 've ever had in my life! Curry spice flavored fried eggplant, fresh homemade bread, mixed veggies, local spinach sizzling from the kitchen. This is the place the local we will miss the most about a Luxor, thank you Ahmed for making us feel like family!

Great food, great service and great prices, all with a warm welcome and a Nile view definitely worth a visit!
