Freds Diner - Akron

First time here and if we hadn’t known about it would have drove by. Very old time diner, still using rotary phone! Great food, large portions, good prices and great service!! Will definitely be back.

Fred diner is a staple in Akron with amazing food and people.

I chose here for breakfast as they were the only place who served steak and home fires so early in the am. The food was magnificent the kitchen did amazing the portion sizes are huge..when u enter the whole place will turn and stare at u as the inside is reminiscent of a family bar so a no go if u have social anxiety. I had the steak eggs and home fries and a side of French toast..my server was great ..the only downside for me was I was served ice water which had a few unknown black flecks in the cup and when I ordered orange juice it was a bottle of orange juice which I didnt much like the flavor. Aside from that I would return happily

Good food , good prices , little small mom and pop place. Great breakfast. I recommend giving them a chance

Sometimes you have to wait a little bit, but the food is well worth it. very good food very good service and for me it’s 25 minutes away. Very good. It’s a gem. Don’t miss it.
