Dean Martin's Lanning's - Akron

Service is wonderful, food is great, the lounge has a perfect vibe. It's everything you would expect out of an establishment like this

My husband and I wanted to hear some jazz and after searching we came up with Lanning's which was featuring a jazz duo in their Deano's Lounge this past Saturday evening. WOW! we have never been to Lannings and our choice could not have been any better. The lounge was as classy as it gets. An old throwback to the lounges in Vegas. The owner came up and introduced himself and he explained that was his intention since he took possession three years prior. We sat at the bar and had some of the most delicious drinks and service extraordinaire! The cuisine was delicious and the duo added to the whole experience perfectly. The most enjoyable dining experience we have had in a long time. Cannot wait to return to this first class establishment in the near future and sit in the beautiful dining room. A well oiled machine this place is. A real gem!

After the first seconds into our experience at Lanning's, we knew it was going to be a perfect place to spend our 43rd wedding anniversary. Upon being guided to our table with an incredible view of Yellow creek below, we noticed the envelope containing a card and complimentary dessert. The staff is so well trained and attentive. The restaurant operates like a fine tuned machine. Our waiter was impeccable in his service but also personable enough to make great suggestions for our dining experience. We spent two leisurely hours enjoying our appetizer (pork belly to die for) , cocktails, and finally our entrees, perfectly cooked filet for my husband and wonderful sea bass for me. The night ended with a single rose placed before me and conversation with Chef Chuck. Wow. Lanning's Restaurant is where you go when you want so much more than a dinner out!

We received excellent service and they seated us at a really nice window seat. I ordered the crab cakes and scallops, everything was very delicious. The dining room was very well decorated. I will come back again.

My recent experience dinning at Lanning's was spectacular. The interior is completely remodeled since we last visited about seven years ago. The decor is certainly more modern and it's decorated very well with many Dean Martin pictures and art. We were nicely greeted, and the staff was very friendly during our entire meal. All the menu items we ordered were wonderful. We started out with the escargot which was very good and dipping the table bread into the garlic sauce was just perfect. I ordered the filet and I can say that it is on the same level as the Marble Room. My wife tried the flounder and crab special, and it was very delicious as well. The lobster mac cheese side was better than expected so we were very pleased. The chocolate chip lava cake à la mode dessert was very rich and tasty, but and a great end to the night. One of the best parts about our experience was being greeted and having a discussion with the owner Dean Martin. He sat at our table to chat with us for a bit. That's awesome when an owner will stop by and have a chat with customers to make them feel more welcome.
