Los Telares - Ajijic

Once again it was proved not to judge a book by its cover or a restaurant by its facade. the courtyard setting is very comfortable. the menu is quite varied and quite moderately expensive. eating is a firm for both eyes and tastes....Fresh, fresh, fresh is their brand name. all staff were very friendly and their focus was on a positive hospitable experience.

We had dinner on Wednesday night. the reviews were mixed so we were not sure what to expect. the appetizer was decent. the five meal times were hardly tolerable, lukewarm and strange combinations of spices/ sauces. none of the garnel in my teller was disfigured...so...great! the service was terrible. we had to sneak the pitcher of water, as no one would refill our glasses, although there are only other tables with parachutes. will not be definitiw back.

We found this place open despite Trip Advisor saying they were closed today. We loved the beautiful patio area with luscious plants and trees providing shade. Our meals were good: a hamburger and shrimp. The service was efficient. There was quite a line to get...in the door as we left our late lunch. I was glad we got there when we did, as we got seated right away.

Beautiful setting right on one of Ajijic Centro’s main streets...indoor/outdoor seating in semi enclosed plaza decorated with the old feel of Mexico. Staff is friendly and efficient, food is great and affordable! Drinks are cold! Great place to visit with friends and family! Will definitely...return!

I'd been here once before, and the experience was satisfactory, so I thought I'd try it again, this time for lunch. The restaurant was relatively empty, and we were seated almost right away. My friend and I each ordered a chicken dish, and the chicken...breast meat was way overcooked, to the point where it was actually hard to chew, and very tough. The waiter had taken our order which was delivered by someone else, and the waiter never returned. We asked for our check then watched him take a phone call. Finally, we flagged another server she brought us the check. We will not return to this restaurant.
