Great food. Huge portions. Great service. I will definitely be coming back for more. Although I’m not a huge portions kind of person (you can get a doggy bag), I thought the food was great, and the service was even better. Prompt and friendly service is a rare commodity these days. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. I worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years. I really was beginning to think this kind of friendly, efficient service had gone the way of the dodo. I’m happy to report that is not the case here.

Someone famous once said “you only get one chance to make a first impression”. Well … my first impression of the “Rooster” was disappointing, which is sad as I had such high hopes when I walked in. It was super busy, which is usually a good omen. There is nothing that wrecks my breakfast more than when I order my eggs “over easy” and I cut into them to discover super well done. Rubbery . I mean over easy eggs are pretty standard fare for a place that advertises All Day Breakfast, right? My corn beef hash and potatoes had zero seasoning … bland. To quote Ramsey “Did you season this you donkey?” Arghhh … the service however was excellent, so the waitresses can’t be faulted. This breakfast joint poses no competition to places like the White Apron or the Rainbow in Oshawa.

If not from friends, we will never expect to see a breakfast place in that area. Feedbacks were great so when we found ourselves nearby, we decided to have our breakfast there today and we agree to the 4.5 stars! Food was great!The portions are huge that it’s a brunch actually. We can’t wait to try their lunch next time! The lady server was very nice and friendly too!

The food and price were okay however…. Confusion by servers as to if our drink order taken. Asking if anyone took it. More than once. Server new ok no problem but all over the place. Forgetting what I said even tho wrote it down. Servers arguing and yelling at eachother. Plates not cleared. It was also like 35 out and also hot in the restaurant.
