Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill - Ajax

My mother had a craving for Swiss Chalet, so we treated her to an early Christmas lunch. The Festive Menu offered a variety of delicious options, including a quarter chicken meal with cranberry, dressing, and Lindor truffles. We also enjoyed beer and good wine selections, and appreciated the not too crowded atmosphere. To top it off, we received $10 off coupons for each meal we ordered. Tammy T provided excellent service, creating a wonderful dining experience. Enjoy!

I was denied service at this restaurant last night because they were unable to fulfill my order for a family pack of chicken. Our coupon, which was new and from corporate, was also rejected without any attempt to investigate by the manager at the takeout counter. No apology or alternative meal option was offered. I was surprised by the refusal of service and shocked that a Swiss Chalet would run out of chicken (as that seems to be the only logical explanation for our order not being fulfilled). I will not be returning to this restaurant as I cannot be confident that they will fulfill orders reliably in the future.

What can I say about Dirty Bird? : Its your staple chicken and fries. This location is clean and the food is prepared well. Never had an issue with anything from this location.

Homeward bound from the city but looking for a place to stop and enjoy a late meal. Came across this Swiss Chalet (1782) and pulled in. Sure glad we did. They were busy but we were soon seated and Amber A appeared. A very welcome sight after a tough day fighting the Toronto traffic and construction. Her bright smile was welcoming. Soon had our coffee and our order taken, short wake and meal arrived, even though they were busy, service was great and speedy. Amber appeared several times to check on us and refill our coffee. Avery pleasant and relaxing dinner and we were soon back on the road home. Thank you Amber

We always like to stop at a Swiss Chalet when in Ontario and we've dined at quite a number of them. This one seemed to be a newer store, and the interior looked clean and fresh. We stopped in for dinner a few days after Christmas. We ordered a chicken/ribs combo and side ribs. Everything arrived hot and fresh. I like Swiss Chalet's fries but they are variable. These were fresh and hot from the frier, and the oil was not due for a change. The meats were nicely done and arrived hot. This is not haute cuisine, but these were nice meals and we enjoyed them. I love their signature gravy--I hope they keep serving it. Service was attentive and we had no complaints. Swiss Chalet is no longer a cheap eats place, but it is on the less expensive side of mid-range.
