L'AMPHITRYON - Aix-en-Provence

Modern, just steps from Cour Mirabeau. A little loud, maybe because it was full of young people. The good surprise was the good food. The service could improve. You have menu sets very good price.

I had read good reviews of this restaurant, so went with high expectations. However, it was a fairly common experience. It is in a great location in the old part of Aix en Provence, with indoor and outdoor tables. The set menu had many...of choice. However, the tomatoes in the duck were contaminated. The fishhead was good, but not interesting sites. The dessert tasted like a cheap chocolate muffin from a supermarket excessively sweet and dry, very disappointing for a good restaurant that should be able to manage a soft, centered chocolate dessert. The service was indifferent.

Very good food and nice service. plus for the wonderfully beautiful veranda where they can eat in summertime. a little less the price, a little expensive.

Dans le cadre d un repas professionnel j ai pu enfin découvrir l Amphitryon!! Un seul mot... Excellent!!!..Fabuleux le mariage des noix de Saint Jacques et du salsifis,...Orange marinée au Grand Marnier ...un délice!!! Et surprenante crème brûlée !! Et un pain au ....citron à tomber!!Un cadre fabuleux et cosy , un service à la hauteur.Merci pour cette soirée et pour la visite.....

Portions congrues mais addition élevée pour le peu qu'il y ait dans les assiettes.La qualité n'est pas au rendez-vous et certainement pas à la hauteur de la réputation de l'établissement.Rien à dire sur l'accueil et le service mais ce n'est pas suffisant pour passer un bon moment dans un restaurant soit disant gastronomique.
