This lovely place is a block or 2 away from the action if there is any in this abandoned town (which we loved, by the way! . The chef and the host/waiter are married, he knew his wife 's cooking well indeed, and we had a very...pleasant 3 course meal on a perfect sunny September day.
We really enjoyed our evening out at the Carriere, not least because the staff were so welcoming. The atmosphere was vibrant, the location quite discreet The food, if not cordon bleu, is very good and our 24euro menu with a range of dishes was very...good value
The food was very good and the service efficient and friendly. We had a wonderful evening at a reasonable price.
It was not in the hotel, but in the restaurant. flown from locals especially. good unfussy service from a kindly host. eating was an excellent standard. can highly recommend and help me better than anything they find on the crowded main square.
