Bidrage med feedbackWe decided to eat here because it was close to the bus stop. The food was overpriced for serving size and quality in the area. When we got the bill, there was a 50 soles optional calculated as it was part of the bill... as an additional donation. T
I wouldn’t ever go there again. The food was ok, but I was appalled by the waiter..... when we wanted to pay he had added 15% to the bill as a form is tip “for our services, he said) without asking us at all. I...told him several times)that it’s customary to give 10%, but after standing there with him for too long saying this and getting the response that it’s for their services I gave in and said whatever. It’s not like I mind tipping, I do the 10% but it’s just so rude adding it without asking and then having the nerve to add such a big amount of money. I wouldn’t ever go there again. I have never met any staff so rude.....!
Just outside of the train station it is a good place to do people watching. The place was very clean and the service was excellent. Would go there again if I was waiting for a ride home in the overpriced and crowded trains out of...the Disney World.
As I write this review, I wished we would’ve look up this establishment on trip advisor prior to us dining here. It would’ve save us from a headache out of this experience. We went here on a whim. The menu looks presentable, it was close...to the train station, and has somewhat of a view. That was about it. Everything went downhill from there. The food that we ordered looked nothing like on the menu. The portions were a lot smaller than it was shown. I ordered the salmon trout with sautéed spinach. The trout itself was severely over salted, and the spinach had more onions than spinach. My husband’s meal the alpaca/chicken skewer came out cold! My friend’s husband had a rack of lamb, and the lambs barely had any meat on it, it was all fat. My friend’s meal came out last after waiting for a while. Before it was brought to her, she saw them putting it in the microwave! We order two round of pisco sour, the first round was not very good, and the second round is full of sugar, not drinkable at all. We complain that the meal was not very good. The waitress just smile and took our food away. When the bill came, we found that we were over charged. The bill came out to be 348 Sol which we knew at first glance it was not right. We disputed with the waitress and did the calculation on our phone calculator, counting each meal. She insisted the 348 sol charged was right. She showed us on her calculator an additional 90 sol being added for tax and gratuity that was not shown on the bill. We pointed out to her that we have been in Peru for almost a week, and this is the first restaurant that automatically put additional tax and gratuity on the bill. She finally agrees to take them off, the new total came out to be 282 Sol. We were ready to pay with a Visa card, as they advertised that they take Visa on the front door. Well, it turns out they didn’t or for whatever reason the machine was broken. So I ended up having to use my debit mastercard. They didn’t even have a copy of the receipt to give me, I had to take a picture of the signed copy as proof. I thought that horrible experience had ended, until today. I checked my account, and it showed they charge $102 USD to my card. I am not sure how that came about, as I did not include any gratuity on the signed copy. We tip with whatever little cash we have left at the time. The receipt I signed for was for 282 sol in total, $85 USD equivalent. I deduce they might've added the additional amount after the fact. Others might have a pleasant experience there, but we certainly did not. And it appears by some of the reviews here that we are not the only ones that felt this way.
Recomiendo este restaurante muy acogedor con excelente atención al cliente por el misma administrador. Precios competitivos y comida variada y de calidad internacional.
