We visited the Boschetto restaurant as guests of an all in hotel on the penultimate day of our vacation after we noticed it during a walk with references to Greek life music. A table reservation was easy. In the evening we were warmly greeted and taken to our table, which, like everyone else in the restaurant, was tastefully set. We quickly received the cards along with a bread basket with two types of sliced bread, as well as a bowl of homemade garlic butter and a bowl of dark olives. Both the butter and the olives tasted very good and gave hope for a good meal. For drinks we ordered a carafe of rose and a bottle of water. The rosé wine was properly chilled and tasted very good for table wine fruity and fresh with a slight note of raspberry. For mains we ordered grilled lamb chops and prawns. The lamb chops were served with fries, rice and vegetables. The chops were tender, although grilled almost too long for our taste. The fries were crispy, the rice still had a slight bite and the vegetables (mainly a type of sugar snap peas) were crispy and tasty. The additionally ordered tzatziki was definitely freshly made with crunchy cucumbers and plenty of garlic very tasty! The shrimp were grilled just right. Boiled potatoes and vegetables were served with it. The service was friendly, not intrusive, but there immediately if you had a request. The boss served some of the food himself and asked personally how it tasted. When asked, he confirmed that the bulk of the foodstuffs came from local production and that he was personally convinced of the quality. According to him, quality is the only reason his restaurant has been around since 1983. For dessert we received a free plate of fresh Greek yogurt with fig puree and spice cake. The live music and dance performance that took place from 9 p.m. was originally Greek and featured both Corfiot and music and dances from other regions. The volume was very appropriate and not excessively loud. The prices are, in my opinion, very reasonable. Conclusion: A highly recommended restaurant, whether with or without a musical performance. It's a shame we discovered it too late.
