Stunning weather and day to travel to Aggius and sample the delights of Il Mosto. Friends had passed through a few years earlier and loved the food and wine. We took a long lazy lunch with friends from New Zealand, and enjoyed the Sardinian flavors and dishes along with some stunning local Red and white wines, selected by Gian Mario. If you want to really try the best of local Sardinian food and matched wines in a warm, friendly place, this is it. Great experience.
The drive from the coast to this village was worth driving. An amazing and romantic landscape opened up for us. When we got to the trattoria we were served great food. The antipasti (oven baked cheese and the big cheese platter) and the dolce was the best courses (together with the recommended wine), the service was great. I would recommend to call in advance and prebook some of their special dishes. We did not do that and regret it they sounded lovely when we saw them on the menu. We shared a T bone steak but that was nothing special about it and I would not have it again. But I would definitely go back to this restaurant. Overall one of the best experiences I had in Sardinia.
The staff was really friendly and helped us out with the menu because there were so many options. Really good beef options but also great cheeses and wine! Its a really cosy place to have a date or spend time with family. The chef checked our table to see if everything was okay. The prices were really good!
I was in this restaurant with a friend. I ate some excellent fried ravioli as a starter, a spectacular galluree soup as a first and a cream ice cream and pompia peel. excellent private production wine and excellent homemade myrtle. the very nice place decorated with goto recalling the local traditions.
