Agriturismo Il Castagno - AGEROLA

We were on a hiking tour and got rained out of one of our hikes, so our guide organized an afternoon of pasta making here and we really enjoyed it! There were 11 of us and the chef did a good job getting us to work together so we could all contribute. We made fresh ravioli with amazing local cheese filling and fresh tomato sauce. We enjoyed it with a plate of incredibly fresh cured meats and wine. We also made tiramisu for dessert, and everything was so delicious. I won’t have access to the same quality of fresh ingredients at home, but I feel confident I could recreate what we learned in the future.

Four friends stayed here as part of a walking holiday along the Amalfi Coast for two nights and would say that this Agriturismo was the highlight of our week. The family were so welcoming and friendly, the two rooms were huge, with small balconies overlooking the valley and sea in the distance. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms adequate, even if the water pressure was unimpressive! But most of all the food was superb, with vegetables fresh from the garden, wonderful home-made ravioli, delightful fratelli and many other culinary treats that kept on coming, all served by either granny, gandpa, brother or grandkids. Would go back at the drop of a hat!

We had two nights at Il Castagno and it was amazing ! Thank you very much! Delicious and true Italian homemade dinner! Additionally the view is amazing !

We returned today to lunch in this wonderful place and it is always like returning home, in addition to the super delicious lunch, with the local products, we hit the family air that you breathe and the welcome, really you could not ask better.

Our stay was made pleasant by the beauty of the place, the good cuisine with genuine flavors, a clean and comfortable accommodation and the sympathy and the exquisite kindness of the fusco family.
