The Beigelry - Adelaide

After reading a lot of positive reviews about The Beigelry from other Zomato peeps, I had to give this place a try. Though I did get lost and had trouble finding it with the Zomato app leading me astray, but it was worth the walk around. Greeted by a team of friendly staff with such efficiency in their ordering system was really nice to see. Staffs were extremely helping in helping customers decide which bagels goes well with which fillings. And boy, were there a lot of bagels to choose from. Each bagels comes with a side of pretzels which were a really nice extra. The bagel itself with the fillings, tasted absolutely phenomenal. Definitely has to go on my list of best bagel place in Adelaide.  Overall The Beigelry was fantastic. I will definitely be back again, and will be recommending it to most of my friends. And to all those who have not visited The Beigelry, get on it!!

Having lived in the states for ten years I have a deep love of bagels. I used to get a warm choc chip one on the way to school every morning and after my return visit there last year reacquainted my love of pumpernickel and cream cheese. The Beigeley is a small cute little bagel place tucked away in topham mall and it has the potential to be a great bagel place. I ordered the sesame seed bagel with New Yorker filling- salt beef, pastrami and mustard. I don't like to add much salad gear when it's about the meat so just a couple of slices of tomato for a bit of sweetness. Great amount of fillings and a small handful of pretzels was great for only $11.50. The pastrami and beef were beautiful, tender and flavored well but unfortunately the bagel was really dense and very hard to chew. If they can get that bagel density right this place would be perfect. Seems lots of people have already found this place as lots of workers in their lunch break were coming through as we sat and ate ours. I think they have the menu right, just the right amount of options and not getting to carried away. The service was great, friendly and fast. We didn't think they had any drinks on offer but it's written on the counter which was hard to see, I think a drink fridge would help fix that problem. Looking forward to seeing what these guys get up to in the future.

I've not been to New York so I can't say what NYC bagels are supposed to be like. They're definitely not like the bagels I know from Adelaide and Canada, but they're still so awesome. One of my favourite lunchtime indulgences.

I have watched those TV shows over the years with various foodies that go to New York and end up at some cool bagel place. Always wondered what the fascination was but I wonder no longer. Bagels are good. I get it. The team at The Beigelry have a lot of love for what they are doing. I had a chat with the guys there while waiting for my bagel to be lovingly put together and was impressed with how much effort they are putting in to give Adelaide the true New York bagel experience. While there is an element of novelty with this place I believe they will outlive the novelty honeymoon period and go on to have a solid successful business. Keen to see them open some more sites across the state once the current wave of success allows them to. This place is well worth a visit. Great product. Great backstory. Great personalities behind the counter. Get on board.
