I only know one other place in Adelaide that does these. You can also soak up the sauce with a curler (a type of pastry). The banh mi was delicious and the pho hit the spot as well.
I used to love this place. Easy food to take back to the office. I will not go back anymore. I am so sick of finding black hair in my food. In the chicken and rice or salads i have found black hairs. The first time it happened i just shrugged it off because i understand that sometimes you just lose hair. This is about the 5th time it has happened now and i know their not my hairs. I am really disappointed because hygiene is important. If your losing hair please just wear a hair net.
The lemongrass chicken bun bowl is consistently excellent. Good portions, great prices, and friendly service! Gets pretty busy around lunch but the staff handle it well.
I ordered a grilled combination banh mi today. There were plenty of meat in my roll. Well marinated and cooked meat. However I was very disappointed because the carrot was not pickled. Pickles are just as important as the meat or the bread because it helps balancing the flavours. The banh mi just didn't do it for me. I might try other items on the menu next time.
Tammys is such a hidden gem! Tucked away behind a small shop front right near UniSA City West Campus you'll find Tammys. When you see lines of tradies and staff from the area flocking somewhere and lining up at lunch time, you know it must be good. Freshly grilled chicken on the hot plate in a bun bowl is what i recommend. It's flavoursome and so cheap compared to others in the area. The Bahn Mi are also great, just be careful with that Chilli because man does it have a kick!!!
