Penang Malaysian and Chinese Restaurant

The food was delicious and the portions were large. We were warmly welcomed and the service was efficient.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for lunch. The laksa was amazing and the Singha beer was cold and delicious.

I don't even know where to begin with this review! The service at this restaurant is incredibly fast and fantastic. The meals are cooked to perfection, showing that the chefs truly take pride in the dishes they prepare.

Just left this place after one hour waiting... without our food! Tried to order fish, no fish apparently. No fried buns either. And nothing on the dessert menu is available. No milk so can't make teh tarik and after waiting for a LONG time we had to just cancel our order as the food haven't even been made! We should have checked the reviews before coming. Never. Again.

I have visited the Penang alone and with friends on many occasions. It was a favourite in Adelaide CBD. I was concerned when I read recent reviews. Unfortunately I agree with them. The food is still ok but service is poor and the once-quaint inherited decor is now in need of a good clean and, ideally, refurbishment. A real shame, since this was a delightful, quirky place with excellent food and friendly welcome.
