Bidrage med feedbackMy birthday dinner was a bit of a let down to be honest... I ordered scotch fillet and got a chewy porterhouse (charged at the higher price.) The mixed grilled was impressive to look at but the meat was pretty ordinary and not worth the $49 per person. After our meal we all wanted dessert and waited 45 minutes to have our tables cleared and get the menus... the waiter never returned to take our orders and we ended up having to wait at the bar to pay as we never got the bill we requested either... All up we paid just under $350 for some garlic bread, 6 average meals and 3 glasses of wine and 3 soft-drinks...
Glad we weren't put off by the mixed reviews. This place is wonderful. The good is amazing and we loved the "not poncy" decor. Staff wonderful. Yeah it's a bit expensive but I'll gladly pay for this quality. Wonderful.
I had been to Norberto's before with work colleagues and enjoyed the food and service, so when I was in Adelaide on a business trip with my wife, I took her there. It was horrible. The food was not cooked well, portions were ridiculously large and the service terrible.
First time visit here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with friends. We had an early, 6:30pm, booking so restaurant was fairly quiet when we arrived. Ordered a selection of breads for starters and steaks for main with selection of sides and sauces. Steaks arrived before the bread which was last to be delivered. Food was of average quality and certainly nothing spectacular or special. By the time we had finished restaurant had filled up including several large groups attending Xmas functions. It became very noisy as the restaurant has no soft furnishings to dampen noise.Dishes were removed promptly but the waiter never came back. We wanted another round of drinks, coffees and deserts but after trying to attract waiting staff for around ten minutes we gave up and decided to go elsewhere.Trying to pay the bill was another thing. People were queuing at the reception to buy drinks. It took another ten minutes to get served and even then the accounting process was a shambles. They desperately need an electronic accounting system like most restaurants use.This was our first visit and it will be our last. As someone who dines out regularly I consider the food to be overpriced for what we received at this venue and service lacking. Very disappointed.(After leaving we found a nice Italian restaurant where we got our drinks, coffees and deserts. They were reasonably priced with great service.)
I took my boyfriend out for his birthday and what a nasty surprise Norberto's was. The food was overpriced and the decor was dated. The staff had no idea what they were doing. Our entree was taken away while we were still eating and our handwritten bill had no total price on it and we had to calculate it ourselves. A waiter gave me a beer and proceeded to ask "are you alright to pour it yourself?" Now I don't know about you, but when I go to a restaurant I want my beer poured for me, especially when I am paying $65 for an entree that has old lettuce with brown bits in it. The steak was overcooked and had no seasoning or flavour. Ruined the night. We could not wait to leave. There are much better Argentinian restaurants in Adelaide and to be honest it does not surprise me that the place was only half full on a Saturday night.
