Bidrage med feedbackFantastic tasty ramen, priced very reasonably compared to others. Fresh tasting sashimi, great variety (especially drinks) and authentic decor and interior. Good service. If you crave Japanese, definitely drop by.
One of my favourite restaurants in Adelaide. Whether I go there for lunch (only on Fridays) or dinner, the service is always excellent and the food superb. The best ramen in town hands down, with a good selection to choose from as well as seasonal specials - try their excellent snapper ramen if available. And their bento boxes are huge, with a great selection of items - takoyaki, gyoza, cold noodles, miso soup, karaage, sashimi etc - all served with various choices of fish or meat. Everything is very reasonably priced considering the quality and portion size. The drinks selection is huge, with top-shelf whiskeys, a range of sakes and coctails, Japanese beers and ciders. It's not as formal as some Japanese restaurants, which is exactly why I like it. Really good food served to you prompty and without too much fuss. It's a toss-up between here and Wasai as a favourite Japanese place here in Adelaide.
I have eaten here so many times and never has it disappointed me. The service can be a little slow on occasion but at all times the food has been delicious and reasonably priced. The Ramen is full of flavour, the skewers absolutely to die for and the fish just melts in your mouth. I recommend you try the Himeji Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen (the flavour is so deep), salmon aburi, agedashi tofu, the gyoza, the vegetable tempura and the following skewers: pork belly with onion skewer, Mentai, Okara Tsukune and Tebasaki. I will return here again and again.
Reasonably priced Japanese restaurant on George street close to Victoria Square. Food and ambience is good with a vast selection of food for all tastes. The only let down is that they replaced the traditional chopsticks with cheaper break apart ones that you see in Asian fast food restaurants. Other than that, would likely come back again.
I have tried the today chef's 5. It was delicious!the fish was fresh and fatty. It's so good with the combination of the special sauce, as well as the wagyu tataki. I have tried so many tataki in several restaurants and it was one of my favourite in himeji. The food was good and the service was good too. Waiting staffs were attentive but apparently there was not enough staffs. However the staffs were still attentive and friendly. Must try himeji if u love sushi!
