Eastern Garden Chinese Restaurant

Our visit was spoilt by the rude and obnoxious man front of house . They don't answer their phone so you can't book so when you arrive he tells you it's too busy and to go away. Then you have to insist that he give you a ticket that he hands out to other customers with a number . Was happy to wait for a table inspite of his truly unsociable behavior . The yum cha on offer was pretty good and the table wait staff very amenable and pleasant. There are many other good yum cha restaurants in Adelaide if you are easily offended and object to giving business when it is clearly not appreciated then don't go here.

The food here is acceptable chinese. I have been a few times now. However, the service isnt the best. There is one ols staff member who is okay but the younger staff look like they hate being there. Still happy to go here for some yummy chinese.

Terrible service and attitudes of all staff. They never say sorry. Foods are not bad, but I found hair in food. I told to staff and cancel it. Nobody apologize to us. Absolutely terrible service. I never go again.

The three of us came here after watching movie at hoyts and notice this new restaurant so we decided to try. Not much we ordered just salty deep fried crab, which is for me was average, out of my expectation. Deep fried crab suppose to be crispy outside but this one not, cause the crab is dipped into plain flour i guess and it's watery inside. And for sweet crispy beef was okay but it's too sweet i think. Chicken satay no good, not my taste, I prefer go to indonesian restaurant in currie st for satay. Steamed dumpling bit disappointed, it wasn't moist both skin and filling. And last is water spinach or kangkong, well just like hommy water spinach nothing special. Overall the food was average tho the portion was much just like other chinese restaurant. For service quality need improvement, the owner need to give them a training how to serve the customer well. Not recommended for couple or romantic dinner as tou wont get a nice meals and service here. But if you come with a group of friend you might try.
