We have visited this restaurant before. The food was just okay, but the service from the waiting staff was awful. They were careless and rude, and they practically threw the food on the table. I would strongly advise against ordering Coca-Cola by the jug, as it had no flavor. Overall, I would not recommend returning to this restaurant.
We haven just had lunch at this restaurant. We were looking for one we had never been to. It is just next door to one we go to frequently. We ordered pork ribs in plum sauce but out came duck in a very dark sause....Reordered pork ribs, out came pork balls in a not nice plum sauce. The salt and pepper seasonal veg was nice, different and I would like to try that dish at home. We left over half of the 3 dishes. It was not anything I would want to take home and have next day. It cost $52 for that food. I dont like spending that much on lunch at any time. Dont care about that and more for a nice dinner if the food and ambience is nice. Would never go back to give it another try unfortunately. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes but I thought Chinese food could not really be mucked up. We have never left some much food on the plates.
I was looking for a nice Chinese place to eat and saw a dish I thought I would like. There were 2 similar dishes on the menu and the waitress told me the difference. She then recommended the beef sauce instead with chicken which I...declined, and asked for the other one. She took my order down, I requested extra hot then she left. Over half an hour later the rice came on it 's own. Then the dumplings which were meant to come at the same time as the main course. The waitress attempted to give my almost 6 year old son a high chair, then brought toddler cutlery and plates for him I was so embarrassed I had to say no. Then when my meal came it had NO Chilli in it, if not you you couldn 't taste it and I had to order some on the side, which brought it up to a mild heat. I couldn 't figure why my dish was not the same until I saw the receipt on the end and realised she changed the dish, she said oh sorry i thought you would like that one better . I feel like when I got o China town it is presumed as a Western person we won 't like true Chinese food, so they recommend the crappiest thing on the menu. The meal was nice, but it tasted more like something cheap from a local takeaway made with hoisin and oyster sauce rather than an authentic chinese dish. She was nice, but just didn 't listen to anything I said ...
Just wandering around looking for anice place and we enjoyed a lovely meal, great service and will return again.
