Bidrage med feedbackWe followed the signs off the Stuart Highway happily looking forward to some Northern Territory friendliness and good coffee. We found neither.Outside is lovely, we followed the signs into the cafe area. I first noticed a sign titled "Answers to FAQ" below which was listed (some paraphrasing) things like "Don't ask where the toilet is just follow the signs." I innocently took this to be a bit tongue-in-cheek. Nope. It's all true. The cafe (coffee station) is staffed (possibly owned?) by the most grumpy person in the customer service business I've ever come across in the NT. She got up from her cup of tea and came over, when there was a few sentences of discussion between family members around which cake to choose she said she was having a cup of tea and left to finish it as she couldn't be bothered waiting while we decided. Also the sign re asking about the toilet is totally true. Don't ask what type of coffee is available, don't ask about the cakes, just keep your mouth shut, pay and get out. We felt like unwelcome guests in her private kitchen.Turns out the flat white was terrible. The milk was overstretched, the blend is poor, the coffee is exceptionally bitter and her skill was poor.I have no problem with wanting to have some peace and quiet in the privacy of your own kitchen. But then don't advertise for coffee and cakes to lure unsuspecting victims in to then be grumpy with them.
This place was such a joke. We followed the signs from Adelaide River which said best coffee in Adelade River but it d not eventuate. The coffee was disgusting and there was no cake although they advertised it. There was junk everywhere and we could not believe the mess. I think when you renovate maybe close next time. The lady was however very friendly and chatty..
We have been to the Last Tucker a few times now, and have enjoyed the coffee, toasties and art gallery very much. We have found it to be a very welcoming place to meet friends for a chat and also a great venue for meetings. We shall be back.
Landed here after looking out for nearly 100km driving from Katherine towards Darwin A wholesome experience altogether Strong coffee, delicious sandwiches, rustic ambience and a friendly host on top of the list!!
What a fantastic evening! It was not just an amazing meal, but an unforgettable experience! If you are in Quebec City, this is a must-do activity. Five courses with wine pairings.
