La Posada - ACI CASTELLO

I walked in to buy an ice-cream, the two staff behind the bar totally ignored me as if I was invisible . They must be making too much money and don't need customers . Should shocking service.

What a great place we came here for drinks on our 1st evening and loved sitting outside on the terrace with excellently made Aperol Spritz cocktails. Amazing value for money, brought out little snacks and olives to accompany the drinks at no extra cost. We decided to have breakfast there the following morning, and it was fantastic sitting outside watching the sea enjoying great coffee and some hot savoury rolls or sweet pastries. Superb value for money, and food and drinks always served with a smile. We ate and drank there most mornings and evenings during our week in Aci Castello, and we were always made to feel welcome by the wonderful staff. A real gem! I would highly recommend.

So I have been living in one of the near by beach houses with my family and almost every morning or day I have walked to this bar and ordered either something for breakfast like a granita with a brioche or in the afternoon ordered a gelato with a cappuccino. They have great service and the people are always so friendly. They were very welcoming when they found out I couldn’t speak Italian in the beginning but later one I have learnt how to speak it but not well. They are very patient with me and always help me. It also has a great view of the sea. If you are ever in the Aci Castello area I recommend this place for a quick cup of coffee or even a relaxing morning breakfast or afternoon lunch.

Stopped in here to grab an assortment of desserts to take back to our hotel. The sweets were really good and the staff helped us pick out a good assortment. It was really inexpensive.

Visited daily during our vacation in Sicily for the lovely granita pastries wow view, the location right on the sea gives you the perfect start for the day. Service is friendly and coffee is great plus everything else we had, was delicious and fresh
