Lua Café - Abita Springs

Wow, what a delightful surprise! This café was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The dessert was simply fantastic, and the fried yuca was perfect!

This is a fantastic Brazilian restaurant that’s a bit off the usual path. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is delightful! We tried the ribs, which were tender and fell right off the bone, along with steak served with yuca fries and a crab empanada. There are charming outdoor seating options at one of the cute tables in the nursery that shares the space with the café. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in Abita Springs!

This place serves the best Brazilian food in the entire state! Be sure to try the pastel and the pork ribs—they're a must. The shrimp bobo and picanha steak are also incredibly delicious.

Wow! We had the crab and merliton pastels along with the beet salad with hearts of palm and tomato. The flavors in both the pastels and the salad were wonderfully balanced. I should also mention that the café shares space with a really cool nursery, which makes for a lovely dining atmosphere. I didn't take any pictures because I didn't want to stop enjoying my pastel. This was only my first visit, but I’m definitely planning to return!

Wow! This place is fantastic. I ordered some takeout and couldn’t help but eat everything in my car because it was just that delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and you can tell the chef puts in a lot of effort to keep the kitchen spotless. They also have fresh-squeezed juices, which is a nice touch. The location is charming, and I will definitely be returning! The food is authentically delicious—the beef was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. It tastes just like home cooking!
