Only stopped when a thunderstorm began with hailstones; the animal shelter was very, very welcome! the food looked good.

Beautiful peaceful place in the middle of the mountains.

Friendly and smiling staff. beautiful place normal prices (even if you consider where the place is) average quality for what I tasted. disposable plates and cutlery. there is no separate collection .. they told me they won't bring it. as if two more guys were a drama. one more stop.

I have had the pleasure of seeing this refuge located in Verginetta several times both for passage and for lunch break, I have seen all the developments of recent years both when it was closed and open, it undoubtedly represents an oasis in nature as to reach it the path is easy and suitable for everyone both if you pass by Maiori (longer and complete CAI tour) and if you take the dirt road towards the Verginetta. This refuge is located in an important area as it offers service both for those like me road to Libro Aperto (Mt Belvedere and Mt Rotondo) in addition to Monte Cimone, and for those who simply want to get to Verginetta and admire an unspoiled valley surrounded by greenery, in addition to this it is located on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna (Abetone Cutigliano -Fiumalbo).
