My wife and I went for an early dinner at the Crown at Pantygelli recently. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared a starter of salt and pepper calamari, which was beautifully presented and delicious. I then had the slow cooked beef cheek in red wine sauce which was sooo tender and flavourful, the red wine sauce was perfect and the celeriac puree was a delicious accompaniment. My wife had the chicken, mushroom truffle pie with puff pastry, with tender pieces of chicken and tasty mushrooms in a creamy sauce. A lovely meal provided with excellent service. Had Sunday lunch here today. The food was excellent, best I've had in a very long time! The service staff there are wonderful very accommodating. I can highly recommend the Crown. You will not be disappointed! Service: 5 Location: 5
