The Dolphin Fish And Chips Takeaway And Aberdeen

First time back in Aberdeen for a long time. Wanted a white pudding supper and remembered that the Dolphin was good. Unfortunately never been so disappointed in a chippy in my life. The chips were white greasy and peelly wally (what there was of them). The white pudding was small and chewy. Overall the whole supper was very small and at £5.30? Bottom line is didn’t matter on the size the whole supper went where it belonged, the bin. Believe me I like my food and it needs to be really bad before I won’t eat it. Sorry but that’s my experience and it won’t happen again here.

This was the worst takeaway experience I've ever had in Aberdeen. I specifically asked the person at the counter not to put any vinegar on anything due to my stomach ulcers, but when I got back to the hotel, everything was drenched in vinegar. The white pudding was absolutely disgusting. It seems like they cater to late-night customers who are too drunk to care about what they're eating.

This restaurant always stays open late, which is convenient for those who like to eat late like myself. They serve a delicious fish supper with all the fixings, but my personal favorite is the fishcake supper. The menu offers a variety of options to choose from. I highly recommend their Chip Rolls as a quick snack. The staff is very polite. Before the lockdown restrictions were put in place, they also offered great sit-down meals.

The best desserts in town! The food is always fresh with a great menu selection.

Lovely fish and chips... really nice staff. Shame I live nearly 400 miles away!!!
