Carins Krog - Aare Bjoernen

On our annual ski trips to Åre, Carins Krog is what gives us that extra silver lining to the whole experience. Great skiing during the days, wonderful after ski at Carins afterwards with something for both kids and adults. Are absolutely hooked on their version of a hot Gin@Tonic! Worth a visit just to try it. Another warm, tasty drink worth mentioning is the warm applecider and rum, served with lightly whipped cream on top. The kids goes for the hot chocolate with all the extras. Food is tastefully crafted with local ingredients served by a very accommodating staff. And it is the welcoming and warm atmosphere that keep us coming back year after year

Me and my family didn't like anything there . Pizza was not fresh ,expensive price and we wait long time..

We ordered 2 dishes for dinner that we thought should be wonderful, but both were ruined. It was way way toooo much salt in everything (uneatable). We complained and got a plate of mashed potatoes as a replacement almost as salty as the original dish. Do they even taste the food coming out of the kitchen?? The bread that went with the other dish was clearly burnt why did they even put it on a plate and come out with it?? Not worth it, avoid.

Went here almost every day. Great friendly staff. A full on hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows which the kids loved as well as the homemade cakes. The gin and tonic was good too!

Got the feeling that they couldn’t really be bothered with us, not sure why. The pizzas were lovely, kids really enjoyed them. The mains my wife and I had (stew with mash) were quite small and luke warm. The crime brûlée was acceptable, 1 ball of ice cream for the other dessert wasn’t, won’t return unless the kids are desperate for pizza.
