Big Bar, Mäzen and rambunctious owners Jessie make Fishbowl an ideal place when you are in the Sanjo area.

We had a great time here. Big sniper with Jesse who knows his stuff about alcohol, especially Japanese spirits. I'm really glad we stumbled in his place because we have a bar now to come back to Kyoto for the next time.

Amazing collection of spirits with great mixers (cocktails) and Jesse can educate you on what to try.

Fantastic collection and very friendly service. The owner is Guamese and speaks fluent Japanese, of course English.

Went here for our last night in Kyoto based on all of the good reviews and needless to say this bar did not disappoint! Amazing selection of whiskeys,craft beers and other alcohols. The owner Jesse is an awesome dude who will treat you with the same respect you show him! Makes the best cocktails I have ever had and is easy to get along with and to have a joke with. Some of the reviews on here say that the drinks are expensive but I disagree. You get what you pay for. I will 100% be back next time I am in Kyoto.
