I tried the Kakuni (braised pork) and it was absolutely amazing! Every dish was expertly prepared and the flavors were outstanding. They also provide complimentary rice refills, ensuring you'll never leave feeling hungry or dissatisfied. The restaurant is impeccably clean and beautifully furnished. I highly recommend it for delicious Japanese-style cuisine!

This modern izakaya has a cozy yet hip style. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The portion sizes are small, allowing you to order more and try a variety of dishes. The gohan is a must-order and has never disappointed us. The service is good, so we will definitely be returning. A hidden gem in the Daikanyama area.

I had a great experience at Gohanya Isshin where I enjoyed delicious and straightforward Japanese teishoku dishes in a cozy atmosphere. The rice was particularly delicious, and the warabimochi was a definite highlight. Customers must remove their shoes upon entering the restaurant, which adds to the authentic experience. Be prepared for a busy lunch rush with long lines, as they do not take reservations. The prices for the lunch sets, starting at 1000 yen, are reasonable.

Hidden izakaya in the basement. All dishes we ordered were delicious ordering about 5 6 dishes and the two of us were filled. Some of the surprising dishes for us were the Shijao mai, the eggplant with rice cake and the egg omelette. Chicken collar with Ponzu was also yum!

Great surprise! We found it with recomendations on an app and it was just the perfect lunch! It gets crowded but we didnt mind at all. It was worth it!
