Jū Jiǔ Wū Sēn Běn - 海陽町

This restaurant is my favorite in the world. It's not just for personal reasons, but also for the quality of the food. It's not about a fancy atmosphere, but about being in the midst of greatness, nestled between rice fields and wild rivers. The ingredients are unmatched, and the service, while occasionally sharp, is also incredibly warm and memorable. I've eaten here many times while living in this beautiful, untouched part of Japan. It doesn't get better than MORIMOTO. Be sure to try the katsuo tataki, agedashi tofu, ika geso karaage, and any of the daily fish specials... There may not be much English spoken, so come prepared for an adventure and a hearty appetite!
