On the way back from Mount Bandai, I found a sign that piqued my interest and decided to enter. It seemed like a popular restaurant, but since it was after 5 pm, I was the only one inside. As I was leaving, more and more customers started to arrive. I ordered the recommended cherry blossom set meal (thigh meat). The regular customers referred to it as the "thigh meat set." I don't have many opportunities to eat horse meat, but for just 1000 yen, I got sashimi and simmered horse meat which was not only delicious but also had great value. The building had a historical charm, and the interior had a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere. The spicy miso paste that came with the sashimi was appetizing. Next door, there was a shop with a sign that read "Sakura Sashimi," where you can also take out various food items.

A popular dish at Sakashita. I tried the horse sashimi, sauce katsudon, and a rare sakura yakiniku set meal, which is unusual for someone from Kansai. I went at 5 pm on Friday, and there was a steady flow of customers. One thing to note is that if you order a mixed drink, it comes out with a strong alcohol content. It's a helpful tip.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy high-quality horse sashimi at an affordable price. Highly recommended is the Sakurasashimi set meal with thigh meat. For 1,000 yen, you get rice, miso soup, horse sashimi, and various other side dishes. As of May 14, 2022, the braised horse meat served as a complimentary appetizer is also delicious! Next door, there is a shop selling horse sashimi, spicy miso, and the aforementioned braised horse meat.

馬刺しと悩みましたが、桜焼肉定食をいただきました。それでも馬刺しと煮込みも付いてきて相当リーズナブル。 量も多く、食べ応えあり。 特に馬刺しが、こんなに美味しいものとは知りませんでした。 それから、食事の提供時間が早い！
