Tino's Oasis - Yelapa

This place was the restaurant stop for a tour we got to Yelapa. We booked with Vallarta by sea. I have to say the most impressive part is how much the crew from the cruise over helps the staff with serving. I don't understand all the bad reviews. But even their staff is hustling and attentive. We preordered our meal so it was ready within minutes of arriving. We pay for drinks extra. The food that was prepared for us was good. I had beef fajitas and the meat had a good bit of connective tissue and wasn't very tender. My husband had the shrimp cocktail and it was very good and in a gazpacho. We were still a little hungry so we got shrimp quesadillas with fresh grilled vegetables. Very cheese, fresh and good. Could have had some more shrimp. But... We saw someone else get served like 1/2 coconut from a grill. Dang!!! Wish we would have thought of that before we got full.

This is the red umbrella place on the beach in the middle. The ones on the end are more tourist traps but this one was really good. There were many Mexican Nationals here which is a good sign. The food was good. Plenty of beer and the shrimp quesadilla was one of my all time favorites. Last time we were here we told the horses up to the waterfall which was a highlight of the trip. The staff is super friendly and really helpful with directions and local things to do. The nice part of the place is you can dine under the shade, you can enjoy the beach chairs, go horseback riding, there are some tables for souvenirs and they have bathrooms. Pretty much all you could need. They also take pesos, American or credit cards. I'll definitely be coming back next time.

I hope I 'm saving someone from making a wrong call. This place is not good. They have a good view but they are 100% a sham. The food is awful and so is the service. Odds are you came here with a credit from a tour, right? You feel obligated to use the credit, right? Well, I 'd think twice. This restaurant knows they have your business no matter what. They 'll serve you very slow and keep you there as long as they can in order to make sure you don 't spend money with anyone other than them or the vendors. They 'll charge you for things you didn 't purchase too. Believe me the cost of taking this free meal is much higher than the cost of shelling out to eat somewhere else out of pocket. As far as the beachfront food spots go, there 's a place I 've been to called Domino 's that is actually decent and doesn 't try to rip you off.

Hector who works at the restaurant tried to pull a major scam on my husband and I while vacationing in Yelapa. He wouldn’t let us pay our bill when we wanted to, and promised an ATV tour, made us wait around all day to try to miss our boat. Me fué pésimo en este lugar, la comida malita y muy cara, pero lo peor fue a la hora de la cuenta, el total estaba inflado como un 40%, y cuando se lo dije al mesero en lugar de corregir, intento justificarlo diciendo que como el plato se había pedido al centro era más caro, y que el burrito mixto que yo pedí era diferente al de la carta, siendo que yo no había pedido algo especial fuera de la carta, en fin un rato muy desagradable, y cuando trate de comentarle al mesero que ese tipo de cosas acaba por dañar al establecimiento, se dió la media vuelta y me dejó hablando sólo.
