The place looks great but customer service was not good
I don't understand the fives, really I don't. The meat is tasty but pre cooked and sitting in a baymarie under heat lamps making it dry. The salad was good and very fresh. The chips are reasonable. It's expensive and slow when busy. It's all tourists, no locals seem to go here. They were polite but not friendly. They've got this weird Subway clone assembly line but they failed motion studies as they have to go all over the place to make a kebab. They're heated in a press after the salad goes in and are wrapped in foil with the chips in styrofoam. Not very environmentally friendly.
Between Melbourne and Mansfield there aren't many choices apart from bland pizza and greasy hamburgers, yet here's this wonderful and passionately run place in Yea with fantastic Turkish food that is of a very high quality. The food is fresh, service is quick, great variety, you can eat in with a Arabian tent like feel that's cosy and offers a bit of culture to the food wasteland that's out the door. Wow is all I can say, the owner has created something that's above what you'd see in Sydney Road Coburg and it's in Yea, whatda?
Quick, friendly service and delicious food! Chucked in free baklava for the kids! Will be back when driving through next time!
