Inaho Japanese - YARMOUTH PORT

We were seated immediately (we did have a reservation). Or drink order was taken fairly quickly and was just right. Or sushi was amazingly delicious. The scallop sashimi was an other-worldly delight. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. We very much look forward to dining there again.

We have been going to Inaho for about 25 years, year-round. We go about 6 to 8 times a year. That’s a lot of visits. It NEVER varies. Yuji and Alda Watanabe offer a model of consistency. The wait staff is long-tenured and attentive. The sushi is generously proportioned and always perfectly delicious. The “hot” kitchen turns out wonderful food, although we generally eat nothing but sushi when we go. Our son taught school in Japan for two years and visited every Prefecture. He said that he didn’t have any sushi in Japan better than what Inaho offers. This is a highly professional establishment. Other reviews support ours. This is our favorite restaurant on Cape Cod.

Made a reservation for our anniversary dinner. Food and drinks were good however the service was weird. It was the day after the 4th so expectedly busy. Halfway through our meal (we were on our second drink and working our way through apps) and the server very politely asked us if we would mind moving to another table so that they could push our table together with the table next to us to make a four top. I get it you’re trying to make money but this isn’t the bar at the 99 where I’m happy to move over a stool so a larger party can fit. I said yes because I’m a people pleaser and they “asked nicely” but it really threw off the vibe. They comped us a dessert but I would have preferred if they had just left us at our initial table especially as we had a reservation and were halfway through our meal. And they knew it was our anniversary. So strange.

Every dish we tried at this family run place was fantastic. Tempura appetizer was light and flavorful. Rolls were outstanding a particular favorite was the spicy scallop hand roll. Thoughtful wine list. Being a CANative, we know some sushi on the West Coast and this place is legit. A must try if you want good sushi on the Cape.

The food is absolutley, hands down top notch. A go to sushi restraint and favorite take out spot!
