Bidrage med feedbackA local favorite that brings back all the nostalgia from this family-owned burger and shake joint. From the iconic Pace?s sign and gas pump, to their colorful ice cream signs and memorabilia, grab a Rainbow (slush, soft-serve ice cream, and flavoring), a greasy burger and/or fries/tots with fry sauce, and enjoy on the patio, from your car, or on the mountain side for a picnic a few short miles away. Their famous ?Astro pops?popsicles are only .60, making it quick and easy to get a sweet treat and go about your day. Give yourself a little extra time during peak hours, and always be ready to smile and laugh as you enjoy 1957 and all it had to offer upon opening their doors. Old ice-cream trucks played their tunes as kids ran to get their tasty treats from the local Pace?s trucks shown in photos along the indoor seating. My favorites are the Peach Rainbow, tots, and a cheeseburger, that I?ll happily share or make a second meal out of.
I?ve never left a bad review for any food establishment, but this was too ridiculous not to do so. Heard of this place through the grape vine so a couple of friends and I decided to try it out to celebrate a birthday. We came in around 1pm on the weekend and ordered some hot dogs, tacos, burgers and malts. I kid you not, it took 1 1/2 hours for our orders to be given to us! When we ordered the cashier seemed like they didn?t want to be there, and the staff was either really slow at making food or they just didn?t care to make it in a timely manner. It was somewhat busy, people sitting inside and some waiting outside, but nothing like a packed restaurant. And we weren?t mean or grumpy towards them, we ordered quickly and even gave a tip. We waited patiently outside and didn?t complain, we were pretty close to though. And to make it worse, when we got the food it was either mediocre or just plain awful. Malts and fries were okay, but nothing special. The ?foot long? hot dogs were just one hot dog split into two halves and spread to fit a foot long bun. The taco shells were burned? how do you burn taco shells? And they didn?t even taste that good. Worse than Taco Bell tacos. And the burgers were over cooked and dry. We really had our hopes dashed when we came here. We heard so many good things about this place. But the wait, staff and food were very disappointing. And we weren?t the only ones who had to wait a ridiculous amount of time, other customers were sitting ducks just like us outside the restaurant. They have a sign that says they will charge you $10 extra for being grumpy or mean to staff. Feels like it should be the other way around. Never going back.
The quality begins at this bountiful institution. Unfortunately, the **** didn't work properly, not really someone mistake, so I decided to have a chocolate dipped vanilla cone and my daughter got a strawberry jake. she was happy with the shake, but my cone was a disappointment. whatever the coworker the vanilla soft serve cone in was super thin and the color of the chocolate but had zero, absolutely no taste. it didn't even taste artificial chocolate. no taste. it was a much smaller portion than the last time that I ordered a but chalk that up to inflation. the once creamy vanilla ice is no longer the quality it was once. the second time? last time I had a rainbow and now this cone. will they please try products themselves before they order and sell substandard product? the chocolate for ice cream topping must go. I'll be back, but hope the **** works.
Not only that I couldn't even finish my meal, it was so rough. Even a bad taste. And when we order the cook woman who shot on the nice young woman who took our order, it was really awkward for a second. but I would not recommend this place definitiw and I was so excited to try it cuz in the rule these small local diners are really good in the rule.
We came from draper of judge to show this place on fox13. I'm telling you something. I lost it. omfg, great, great cheeseburger ?!!! I am arrested. they can explain the use of quality products. I was hoping to say hi to the young, but the skinnier was a kitchen really, really busy and I didn't want to disturb him. but the young girl who helped me was so sweet. wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere and the wobble rings. I have more. thanks to the owners of pace’s and rich bonaduce! I am back and back
