Had lunch with friends in this beautiful restaurant. They have $25 special or can choose from the main course. Lovely settings and decor. They have a good list of red and white wine and all my friends love coming to this place to meet up....More

Our friends booked this restaurant for Saturday night. We have been there before and it was quite good. However my opinion changed dramatically on the evening about this restaurant. We arrived about 10 minutes early and they guided us to our table. They promptly gave us some water and then the staff member disappeared to tend to other customers. After about 10 minutes we waved a waitress over and the girls ordered cocktails and the boys ordered 2 beers. Again we waited about 20 minutes and eventually the drinks arrived with an apology that they had run out of an ingredient for the cocktails and they had to go next door to the supermarket. Ok that's fine. Then it got weird. About 5 minutes later the waitress returned and asked what name the booking was made under and she explained we were on the wrong table (that they had shown us to). However she said oh its ok we can stay on this table and the other 4 people can stay on there table. Why explain that to us???? I didn't understand it - when the waitress came back she told us the special of the day. And I wanted to order that particular meal but was told it was no longer available - why mention it if its not available. My friend ordered a different meal and was told - no that wasn't available either. I was beginning to think if we were actually in a restaurant at all. So i chose something else and I ordered the lamb to be cooked medium - it came back well done and wasn't very nice at all. There was two of the lamb meals ordered (one well done and one medium - the other lamb definitely looked medium - mine was over cooked and I think they got them mixed up. Also the drink service was almost non existent. When I ordered a beer - i waited up to 10 minutes for it - i called the waitress over and her response was: "Sorry, I thought someone else brought that over" that happened 3 times. That is inexcusable. I admit the restaurant was full and mistakes can be made - but it was just one after the other - and running out of food and wine (we weren't able to get our first choice of bottled wine) on a Saturday night is just not acceptable. The staff were very polite and friendly,I won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone nor will I return.

Booked for 7.15 pm ordered entree to find out that the soft shell crab is sold out, then ordered the Waygu beef again sold out. The special offers was a wagu beef stew , I thought what a waste for a lovely cut of meat to be wasted in a stew and then be told that the wagu beef steak was sold out on the menu at only 7 in the evening. We were offered dessert as complimentary compensation.The one left serve of soft shell crab for entree was terrible very dry batter and over cooked. The sirloin steak ordered was not the same size portion , mine was a very odd long shape. The only enjoyable part was the dessert and will not be coming back. There was a few large tables and it was very noisy and not relaxing, they forgot the coffee order and the drinks service was very slow as it was busy with the larger tables. Not enough staff for the night and the ordering of produce was not done well, when they were aware for at least a week or two the amount of bookings they had to cater for. The manager was very nice and the complimentary desserts did make it a bit better evening.

Came here with my friend for dinner. Negatives: - My friend arrived before me and was seated at a table accordingly. When I arrived, I wasn't shown to the table but rather the waited pointed in the direction of where my friend was. - The service was very very slow/non existent. After sitting down it took 25 minutes for our drinks to be ordered. It then took a further 30 minutes for our entree to come out.- I ordered the eye fillet medium rare for main ($45). What I received was over cooked and tough piece of meat with a very very bland potato rosti. Positives:- Our entree of oysters were fresh and tasty. I definitely won't be returning here again nor do I recommend. Since the restaurant changed their menu, it has gone down hill.
