The Duke Of York - Woodbridge

We have been several times we do rather like the venue for a special occasion (it's less than a mile from home) but we found the service very slow this time. Considering our table was booked for 2.00pm (the earliest time available) when the mad lunch time rush would have been over (the restaurant was almost empty by the time we left) we thought the wait for our food was longer than we would have liked. We arrived at 1.50pm and our food was not served until 2.30pm. The main courses, of course, were cooked to order so we would expect a wait, but we had to wait quite a long time for our puddings, which were cold and not cooked to order.

We have always been impressed with this place but on this occasion the heating was not up so my parents got cold very quickly as they feel the cold and where we where placed the cold come round their legs and body which made my father ill so we had to eat up very soon to get him in the car to warm up but as he had got cold he was ill through the night. So if we do go again it will be in the warmer part of the season

Nice eating than normal, but we wanted a bottle of fizzy water and was told that they didn't sell?! strange, but apart from that we had a nice lunch

Beautiful environment has been renovated, staff nice and friendly, limited menu with a few items not available, what was disappointing

Great atmosphere and nice relaxed environment to enjoy a evening with a loved one. This place was where I met my wife 4 years ago, as biased as this sounds, we always find it enjoyable to come here.
