El Olivo Mexican - Winter Haven

I've been away a few times and I've never been disappointed with food or service. My only complaint is the price of a tiny side of Guacamole. I think $2 is a bit high for such a small amount, but I will get the price of bad quality every day! Great place!

First visit, but not the last one. Best Mol Enchiladas I've had for a long time. I wrote a test, so I thought I would extend to the review I did last week. Last weekend was our first trip to El Olivo. We live in Plant City, so it is not close to home, but we will definitely be back. Service was excellent and the place is charming. It is very comfortable as a mother and pop should be place. You did not feel rushed or like your only product for management to check how you do on chains. These are the places my wife and I love. The food was fresh and delicious. It started with the local chips. Salsa wouldn't be our favorite. We prefer the fresh, uncooked version of salsa, but it was good with a beautiful heat. I had the Chicken Mole Enchilada. It was the best mole I ever had. The sauce was so delicious. It comes with beans and rice. The rice was quite normal, but definitely not a mixture as some chains are. The beans were exceptional again. They had the perfect smokey taste that the fried beans should have. My wife had the Burrito and Chimichanga plate. The burrito was made with comminuted chicken, which itself was very tasty, but delicious in the burrito. the chimi was her seasoned beef, which was perfectly seasoned and not excessively salty, which we find in many places as we cut back our salt intake. The best part was their special sauce. A delicious and creamy enchilada sauce was properly proportional to both dishes. A really wonderful experience.

The first time to go here, we enjoyed everything from Paula's homemade Sangria...Enchiladas Chimichanga with beef tips! Great service great authentic Mexican dishes! We're coming back! The only negative I would say.. I ordered a margarita, our blessing said we were all from Margaritas... we thought he should have offered the homemade Sangria as an alternative!

Our food was delicious!!!! Service was great! Definitely recommended!!
