Chile Verde Mexican - Winter Haven

Best Mexican food in winter haven. Large portions for a very good price. Highly recommend this place

This is the 3rd location for this business in town. They started out in an old Wendy's building that was off the beaten path due to road re-routing. They moved to a larger location where all restaurants unfortunately seem to go to die. When that spot closed we were very upset as the had come to be one of our two favorite Mexican spots and the more budget friendly of those two. When a different Mexican restaurant moved from their long time spot to a downtown location thankfully Chile Verde 3.0 moved into the spot they vacated on the Hwy 17 side of Springlake Square. Having only having the chance to try the new location once so far I have to say the food was as good or better than it always was. The service was a little slower than on the past but just as friendly. Hopefully they're still feeling their way into the new location and the service will rise to where it was in the past. As far as the food the portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Between myself and my family we've probably tried just about everything on the menu and have always been more than satisfied. Get a combo meal to try out a few things and make sure you have room in your fridge for to go boxes before you go since you'll most likely be bringing home leftovers.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Worst service I 've ever had. Called to check if they do take out and was told to Stop talking. Then asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none I asked to speak with someone else because the lady was extremely rude and the person she gave me didn 't speak English

The food is delicious. And they give you a lot. They are very nice.. good service. Sometimes it's very busy, so a little slower service, but the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable for chatting. It's our favorite place. They also make a great margarita.
