Workmans &smokehouse - Winston

Great little small town, hole in the wall bar, with really good food! I was there on Tuesday and it was billiards tournament night! This was great fun and a great crowd. The bartender was great and a blast to hang out with.

Great place to stop by and get a drink after work. Friendly staff and atmosphere.

I was looking forward to eating their food. Was not impressed. I got the pulled pork fries and they came out way undercooked, cold, limp, and soggy with the pork having no flavor. I also got a workman 's sandwich; which seems like it should be theirsignature meal, it was ok nothing fancy but not tasty either, just bland. I 'd eat here again if someone else suggested it,but personally wouldn 't select it as a place for a meal.

So they do show set hours on the internet, but when we called at 5:50pm the girl who answered who sounded like she runs the place stated at first they were just serving appetizers because it was late but when I reviewed with her that the meat wasalready cooked, she said oh yeah I can cook for the next hour. I specifically then asked her if they had tri tip to servetonight she said oh yeah. They need to decide... Are they just going to be a bar or do they want to develop a following fortheir food. I guess I 'll stop by next month to see if they have decided to step up their business. Until then, I guess you cantry your luck if they feel like it .????.

Food is always amazing, drinks are good and bartenders are very creative with drinks when you ask for a surprise. This place has a welcoming environment and plenty of entertainment
