American Deli - Winston-Salem

I always get the sweet Chili wings Salate Combo. Soooo good lol my friends are fun at me how big my love for American Deli is.

Don't be deterred by appearances. The food here is delicious, as evidenced by the number of people coming and going. The atmosphere inside leaves something to be desired, so I recommend getting your food to go and enjoying it elsewhere. You won't be disappointed.

I have been living in Winston-Salem for 10 years and today was my first time trying out this restaurant. I have to say, I'm not sure what kind of people enjoy good food, but there is no way anyone with even half a taste bud could mistake this awful food for anything other than garbage! The reviews are completely misleading. I must also mention that as African Americans, we should not continue to support businesses where we are not treated well. The customer service was like something out of a prison cafeteria. They rationed out napkins, straws, and salt packets. Customers were not even allowed to handle their own food - they had to watch as the workers sprinkled seasoning on the food themselves, like children. I will never spend my money here again!

Honestly, the garden salad was not impressed. Overprice for such a small part. All the others in my party enjoyed their wings. Fries were great because they were soft as I like them with the season.

I ordered fries, extra crispy. They were pale and limp and not at all crispy. The burger looked so delicious. I couldn't wait to bite into it. What a disappointment. It tasted slightly like the faint smell of canned dog food, and no I am not joking. The texture was mushy despite being fully cooked. The patty looked so good and meaty but the flavor and texture is off. So off as to be inedible. What a disappointment.
