Mi Casita - Windsor

I made reservations for 6 pm at this restaurant. When I arrived, there was no one managing the line of people at the door. I approached a stressed-out guy holding a spiral notepad, who ended up being the fastest service of the night. After waiting for another couple to join us, we finally got drinks and ordered appetizers and our meals. However, we had to wait a long time for our food, with another party arriving 45 minutes after us and receiving their appetizers before we did. When I asked our server about the delay, she blamed the kitchen and forgot multiple appetizers, including chips for my guacamole. Despite her apologies and claims of yelling at the kitchen staff, we didn't finish eating until around 8:20, over two hours after we arrived. The small bathrooms were cramped and not worth the hype of the patio. I was so disappointed with the experience that I won't be returning. Additionally, the server got upset when she didn't receive a tip, but her poor service didn't warrant one. Overall, the restaurant was overhyped and underwhelming.

During our visit to Windsor as an alternative to staying in Detroit, we stumbled upon Mi Casita, a Mexican restaurant. We were impressed by the margaritas, which were expertly made with freshly squeezed limes, and the wide selection of tequilas. The prices were reasonable, with margaritas costing about seven dollars Canadian each. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with a variety of options to choose from. The guacamole was particularly fresh and tasty. Although it may not be considered trendy, we would definitely return to Mi Casita next time we are in Windsor.

Classic Salvadoran food prepared with the mediocrity to match the apparance, service and the smell of the place. The place is obviously run by someone with poor hygiene standards and is utterly oblivious to the meaning of delivering customers with a good food experience!

First time to MiCasita and it was an excellent experience.Our waitress(blonde)sorry can’t remember her name ,was fabulous. We had chicken fajitas with all the fixings and keto steak tacos ..we washed the meal down with margaritas specially made to order…no mix. The food was fresh with chips and salsa, salad dressing ,beans rice etc. are all made in house. The entire meal was priced very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and sanitized. We certainly will be back very soon. Great Meal..keep up the fantastic job!

The Mexican food at this restaurant is excellent, and the service is really good. It was busy when we arrived, but our food and drinks came quickly. The nachos were delicious, and a large portion was enough for a starter for 4 people. The flavors were fantastic and the portions were satisfying. We will definitely be coming back.
