Skooter's - Windsor Locks

Definitely a dinner throwback feeling with a jukebox and retro decor. Mostly your fried food and milkshakes with regard to the menu. Sweet enough staff, but a person has eaten with her fingers before us and then never washed her hands: . Not really an appetite oral to say the least. The food was again ok normal dinner options.

It's a tough check. I didn't like a few things from the jump, but this is an old little restaurant at the airport, I have to give something away and it's a nice theme. I love her menu, but I went there for the tuna melt, and I stuck to my weapons, and I had a cup of chili and pommes. Everything on the menu is ala carte, and that my thing with Mexican restaurants, so I must be just (LOL!! I have to go back. No ruffles, I had to get my own water and the cups were tiny, so I got 3. The prices seemed fair and you get what you get, you will like it, I think.

Great food, great decor and great service! The food was served fresh and hot. I loved this old diner experience. Lisa was a great server!?

Coming to Skooters is always a treat. I grew up in town and some of my favorite memories came here on weekends with my grandparents. The food is always cooked for perfection, and the service is always beyond and beyond. If you are looking for a nostalgic place to eat, Skooters is where you have to go!

I've looked at this place every time I've been in hartford. I've always avoided it because it's 50s theme and growing up spent so much timecar cruises and I've had my fill of 50s music. I decided to go this morning though and, wow, I have been missing out. Not only was the food great, but I was given a free show by Mona Lisa and her best friend Trudy. Two wonderful women that worked so perfectly in sync they must have been doing it for years. From the outside the place looks so much larger than it is. When you walk in it's set up like an old school diner, counter on the right facing the grill, and a few small tables along the wall on the left. I had coffee to go with my breakfast which was great. I did notice that it was a self-serve fountain drinks which was needed because these two women working had so much to do but yet made me and everyone inside feel welcomed and appreciated. It almost makes me want to have more short layovers layovers in Hartford so I can come back to enjoy this place. Almost ? I will be making it back to Skooter's anytime I do though.
