Lovely place to go and have a tasting first before hitting the 5 course degustation menu Staff were all very friendly.. food was exceptional i thought the wait time in between courses was a little too long but i was one of four of the group that said that. We had a full discussion but still think food could of come out a little quicker.. overall a wonderful experience and would definitely take the time to visit both the cellar door and restaurant when in margs a must see place.. i have reviewed other places whilst down in margs and think there 15% surcharge was acceptable on the public holiday Easter Monday.. some places charging 20% which I think is a bit much. Rústico degustation 5 course experience was incredible! We were served by James who was super friendly and knowledgeable when explaining the wine pairings with the course meal. We were not disappointed with any of their wine pairings or food. The food was absolutely delicious and paired so well with the wines selected for each course. Definitely an experience worth for wine enthusiasts! This is the best degustation I have ever had! The food was beutiful and well presented and unlike other degustations there was enough to eat! The service was friendly. We were also treated to the most perfect weather on the day which helped to make this a most memborable experience. I would encourage you all to try Rustico at Hay Shed Hill. The degustation menu was great value for money at $8.50 per plate $85 for 5 courses/ 10 plates pp). Accommodating to all dietary requirements.
