Le Cavalier - Wilmington

I wanted to try this restaurant already one because, but there are many mixed critiques. determined to go to birthday dinner and was not disappointed. the food and service were excellent! will return definitiw.

My daughter and I showed up here on Thanksgiving 2022 during the afternoon. the first time ever since the big one. a more casual, but still lifted adjustment. some tables along the bankette are closely connected. was not too crowded, so the staff were attentive. traditional turkey dinner was on the menu, as well as several other entrees. we found our choices well made and tasty, including the sides. there were interesting cocktails and weeping. the register card was on the high side as soon as drinks and drinking money were added, but it was a special occasion meal and we were a small party; could forbid a larger group. we brought rest to home and had no cleaning expected us to house.

Beautiful place. mediocre food. Cesar salad with mayonnaise, ok steak frites. waited too long for drinks.

French toast did not come with fruits as expected. Coffee was cold. Servers were ok and attentive and the atmosphere was nice. The food was the sticking point. Not very good for the caliber of restaurant.

We were disappointed in what is supposed to be a high end bistro. Two of the party had a scotch before dinner and , to be honest, for a restaurant of this type the pour was was, let’s say, chintzy. Other top restaurants in the area are much more generous, especially for the price level of the drinks. One person ordered steak frites and unfortunately the meat was under cooked. It was ordered to be medium but came very rare. Another one of the party ordered the Branzino and was very disappointed in its quality. We felt the quality of the meal was not in keeping with the prices charged. Compared with restaurants like Eclipse, Le Cavalier was a real disappointment. Unless we hear of major improvements, we will not return to this restaurant.
