Bidrage med feedbackI really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. It's in an old post office and the old PO boxes are in the wall. It's a lively, fun place. I had the Vegan Beyond Sausage sandwich and really enjoyed it. The jalapenos were pretty spicy for my taste but I was easily able to pick them off. The fries that came with the sandwich were excellent. I'd definitely return if I lived in the area.
I have visited this restaurant many times and it has always been excellent. I often come with large groups of people, especially during cycling trips since it is located near the rails to trails. The menu has several interesting vegan options that are clearly labeled as such. The homemade vegan chili with vegetables and beans is delicious, and they also offer a vegan bean dip appetizer. They have a homemade veggie burger, though I am not sure if it is vegan or vegetarian, as well as sandwiches made with vegan sausage. It seems like every year they are expanding their vegan menu options. I highly recommend dining here.
I had not returned to Willi Brew since becoming completely vegan, but decided to stop by for lunch the other day. The menu had some new upgrades, with more vegan options than before. I ordered the house made vegan burger, as the server informed me that the vegetarian chik'n sandwich was not vegan. The server kindly offered to serve my burger on their vegan beer bread instead of the non-vegan brioche bun. Both the burger and bun were delicious! The veggie burger was made from vegetables but held together well and had great flavor. They also offer the Beyond Sausage on the menu prepared in a couple of different ways.
I've eaten at WilliBrew since I was in high school growing up in NE CT, and like to stop in when I'm visiting. The menu options are about the same for vegans as in years past, and are kind of limited but decent. The beers and the pub atmosphere are the best parts of a visit to WilliBrew.
We frequent this restaurant for the beer, but the vegan food is also good. The menu has limited options, but we usually order the chili without sour cream and a baked potato, or the mushroom wrap without dairy products. The beer here is excellent, so if you're a vegan beer enthusiast, it's definitely worth a visit.
